Central or non-central limit theorem in heat conduction?

Abstract:

We will study a second order ODE with a random coefficient, which models the heat conduction in a heterogeneous environment.  We show that the solution exhibits either Gaussian or non-Gaussian fluctuations depending on the correlation properties of the random coefficient.
