Course Description:
This session will explore the integration of SAS, R, and DuckDB to create a seamless analytical workflow. We will begin with Parquet formatted data provided by a Python-using colleague and demonstrate how to process this data using the DuckDB engine in conjunction with SAS. The session will also include a check-in with the original data provider and a showcase of the SAS Viya MLA Package, highlighting its capabilities in both Python and R. Finally, we will demonstrate the use of R’s Generalized Linear Models (GLM) with a Link Function, illustrating the power and flexibility of this analytical approach.
Session Outline:
- First, we’ll start with Parquet formatted data from a colleague who’s a python user.
- Next, use the duckdb engine to process it with SAS
- Lastly, we’ll check-in with the colleague who sent you the original Parquet data. Show the SAS Viya MLA Package (Python & R)
- R MLA: GLM with Link Function
