When I sat down to edit the video of the keynote I shot at TechExpo, the quality was distorted and grainy, due to the bright light from the projector. After various filters and color corrections showed no significant improvement, I turned to Google and found the plugin NeatVideo. It’s a $99 extension and promises to remove grain from noisy images without distorting them beyond recognition.
With no other filters, it delivers some pretty NEAT results:
The biggest downside to NeatVideo is that it takes an age and a half to render, but that’s weighted against what a lifesaver it is when it works.
