The Cognitive Neuroscience Research Internship (CNRI) is a fully paid, semester-long research program that introduces Duke undergraduate students to human behavior and cognition research while providing Duke graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with opportunities to mentor, teach, and lead.
Our Mission
The mission of CNRI is to expand access to research opportunities in cognitive neuroscience by creating a supportive and accessible pathway for undergraduate students to engage with scientific research. Through structured training, hands-on experience, and mentorship from graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, CNRI aims to cultivate the next generation of researchers while fostering a collaborative community of learning, leadership, and scientific discovery.
Our Program
A semester in CNRI brings together undergraduate interns and graduate student mentors in a structured learning environment. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows affiliated with Duke's Center for Cognitive Neuroscience design and lead training activities. Undergraduate students learn research skills through workshops, team-based projects, and mentorship.
