Teaching evolution in the time of COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly shaped our world and invaded the public consciousness. How can we use the emergence of this novel pathogen to encourage evolutionary understanding? Led by Jeff Thorne, Professor of Biological Sciences and Statistics at NC State, and David Rasmussen, Assistant Professor of Entomology and Plant Pathology at NC State, this discussion focused on ways to employ the coronavirus pandemic to help teach evolutionary medicine.
