For faculty and instructors

  • Faculty Write program  offers retreats, workshops, and consultations on your writing
  • Writing in the Disciplines WID Director Cary Moskowitz can consult on assignment design and the development of writing-intensive courses, and can offering workshops on giving feedback and grading
  • Writing workshops in your courses Writing Studio Director Eliana Schonberg‘s team can create and faciliate workshops to fit your students’ needs
  • Duke Reader Project supports your teaching by matching alumni readers with your students

For graduate students

  • Graduate Writing Lab  a dedicated writing space for graduate students three days a week. Students can work alone or as part of small writing groups on their dissertations and other writing projects.  A graduate student consultant is available to provide brief, issue-based consultations; serve as an active listener or reader; and collect ideas about future workshops or programs that the lab might provide.
  • Writing resources for graduate students provided by the Thompson Writing Program

For undergraduates

  • Writing studio meet with highly educated writing consultants to discuss your writing concerns, brainstorm, or develop the awareness and skills to improve as a writer. Consultants help at any stage of the writing process – from brainstorming and researching to drafting, revising, and fine-tuning a final draft.
  • Writing resources for undergraduates provided by the Thompson Writing Program
  • Scientific Arguments: Writing an Undergraduate Thesis (Bio495, offered in the spring) supports you through the entire process of writing your undergraduate thesis
