John Moses is a primary care pediatrician at Duke University Medical Center and a photographer based in Durham, NC. While an undergraduate at Duke, he took a photography class from faculty member Alex Harris at the Center for Documentary Studies and spent a year photographing the conditions of migrant farmworkers in the Southeast before attending medical school.

He is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and instructor in photography at the Center for Documentary Studies. He has contributed photographs to several publications, including The Youngest Parents (Norton Press) and Big DoctoringProfiles in Primary Care (UC Press). He is currently working on a book about how children cope with illness. He co-directs the Documenting Medicine Program at Duke.
