The Urban Lab of Duke Kunshan University
The Urban Lab is an interdisciplinary research hub dedicated to understanding, analyzing, and improving cities. We bring together faculty, students, and community partners to study the economic, social, environmental, and technological forces shaping urban life.
Our work focuses on real-world urban challenges—such as housing affordability, transportation systems, climate resilience, inequality, and digital infrastructure—using data-driven methods, field research, and policy analysis. By connecting academic research with public engagement, the Urban Lab aims to generate knowledge that is both rigorous and actionable.
The Lab serves as a platform for collaborative projects, student-led research, public programming, and partnerships with local and global institutions. Through publications, events, and hands-on initiatives, we strive to support more equitable, sustainable, and livable cities.
