About TRECC
The Translational Research Concepts and Careers program is a project initiated by the Education and Workforce Development Core of the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Institute. The team recruited experts from across Duke to participate in interviews that describe some of the various careers and opportunities that exist in translational research today. With the help of these experts, the TRECC team developed a curriculum of online modules and resources to serve as an introduction to fundamental translational research concepts.
Why TRECC?
To make translational research more impactful, there is a need for a more sizeable workforce that can address needs of the communities we serve. The research enterprise offers a multitude of potential careers (beyond researchers and principal investigators). We hope this curriculum will engage and inspire prospective professionals to pursue meaningful paths within translational research.
