Introduction to Playposit

We’re using a software called Playposit host these interactive video modules. In order to access them, you’ll need to create a Playposit account and join the “class” for this site, by following the steps listed below.

To access these video modules, you will need to register in Playposit by clicking the “Set Up Your Playposit Account” button below, and following the steps listed for one of the three methods of creating an account, depending on how you’d like to go about creating your account. Once you set up your account, you will be taken to a list of the modules. You can complete these modules either through this list — or by visiting the individual Module pages on this website, which provide more context to the experience.

Set Up Your Playposit Account

If you want to create a new Playposit account and link it to an existing Google or Microsoft Office 365 account

This will allow you to access these modules using the same credentials you use for your existing Google or Microsoft account. 

1. 1. Click the “Set Up Your Playposit Account” button above.
   2. On the Playposit login screen, click the button corresponding to the kind of account you want to link (Google, Office 365, etc.) and follow the prompts that appear.
   3. When you reach the screen that asks “What best describes you?”, select “Student”. 
   4. You’ll be taken to your Playposit home page. (You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see your initials in a white circle in the top left corner of the screen.) You can then leave the Playposit website and/or close your browser tab.

If you want to create a new Playposit account using your email address

If you do not have a Google or Microsoft Office 365 account, or if you would prefer not to link your Playposit account with one of these accounts, you can use your email address to establish a Playposit account. Note: If you choose this option, if you forget your password retrieval will not be possible and you will need to create a new account and your work in the modules will be lost. Please store your password in a safe place.

1. 1. Click the “Set Up Your Playposit Account” button above.
   2. On the Playposit login screen, click the “Create an account here” link (below the blue “Submit” button).
   3. On the next screen:
      • Select “I am a Student”
      • Enter your name and email address, and create a password.
   4. Click “Submit”.
   5. You’ll be taken to your Playposit home page. (You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see your initials in a white circle in the top left corner of the screen.) You can then leave the Playposit website and/or close your browser tab.

If you have previously established a Playposit account

If you think you have an existing account, click the button above and try logging in with the email address and password you used previously. If you’re successful, you’ll be taken to your Playposit home page. (You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see your initials in a white circle in the top left corner of the screen.) You can then leave the Playposit website and/or close your browser tab.

If you don’t already have an account or can’t remember your login information, you’ll need to use one of the two options above to create a Playposit account.
