Sci-Fi/Fantasy Science

I give talks about the biology of different types of science fiction and fantasy stories: TV, movies, video games at conventions and Universities across the country.

The most frequent is Harry Potter and the Genetics of Wizarding which I’ve given at DragonCon, New York ComicCon, Denver ComicCon, Raleigh ComicCon, LeakyCon and a few other places like different Universities, the Smithsonian and NIH.

Others include:

Making Captain America’s Super Soldier Serum

Harry Potter and the Evolution of Fantastic Beasts

Star Trek vs Star Wars Biology (I’m team Star Wars!)

The Biology of Tatooine (Star Wars)

The Biology of Mass Effect
