The latest release of the NI LabVIEW Academic Site License package is now available through OIT. This software is available to Duke faculty, staff, and graduate students at no cost.

The Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack for Software Assurance (MDOP) virtualization technologies help personalize the user experience, simplify application deployment, and improve application compatibility with the Windows operating system. Additionally, MDOP helps manage, monitor, and deploy key Windows features. Using MDOP shifts desktop repair from reactive to proactive, saving time and removing challenges associated with troubleshooting and repairing system failures. MDOP 2014 contains Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management, Microsoft Application Virtualization for Windows Desktops, Microsoft User Experience Virtualization, Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring, the Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset, and Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization. The site license for ScreenConnect has been renewed. If you are currently using ScreenConnect, your license will stop working in 30 days. To renew, you will need to place an order for ScreenConnect again.
Use of ScreenConnect is limited to Duke IT staff.

The school license for ArchiCAD has been renewed, and the latest versions of ArchiCAD American and ArchiCAD International are available for download at no cost to Duke faculty, staff, and students.

Duke’s MathWorks license has been renewed, and new installations of the software will expire on August 1, 2015.
Detailed renewal instructions for all versions of MATLAB, including links to license files and PLPs, can be found here: http://oit.duke.edu/comp-print/software/support/matlab.php. Anyone with a standalone installation of version 2008a and newer can renew by launching MATLAB as an administrator and then going to Help -> Update Current Licenses, and clicking Update.
Installations pointing to a license server will not be renewed until the server license is renewed. OIT Software Licensing does not manage any license servers for MATLAB.
Lucid Software has made their software suites, Lucidchart and Lucidpress, available to faculty, staff, and students with an active duke.edu email account.
What I can do with these programs?
Lucidchart is a web-based diagramming software which allows users to collaborate and work together in real time to create flowcharts, organisational charts, website wireframes, UML designs, mind maps, software prototypes, and many other diagram types.
Lucidpress is a drag and drop page layout app. It has many of the same collaboration features as Lucidchart but allows users to create content for print or digital publishing.
How I do access these programs?
If you currently have an active duke.edu email address, please visit https://www.lucidchart.com/e/duke.edu to create an account. Once you are logged into your account, you can also access Lucidpress from the menu in the top right-hand corner.

A new think-cell license key is available. It will expire on 1/31/15. A new key will be available within 2 weeks of its expiration.

think-cell is a Microsoft Office add-in which integrates seamlessly with PowerPoint and helps you to visualize complex charts like Marimekko, Gantt and waterfall within minutes. Free licenses of think-cell are available for Duke students and researchers. Visit the think-cell website for more information.
The site license for Wolfram Mathematica has been renewed through August 6, 2015.
Single-user licenses for versions 8 and later generated through the Wolfram Portal have been automatically renewed, and no additional steps are needed. E-mails were sent out to all registered users (one per key) indicating that the expiration date was automatically extended to August 6, 2014.
Anyone using version 7 or earlier will need to follow the old license generation process to generate a new password to renew. Please visit the OIT Software Licensing site and order the software again to view the instructions.
Those managing computers with the lab version of the software installed will need to visit the OIT Software Licensing site and order the software again to view the updated lab keys.
The OIT Labs license server has not yet been updated, but will be before the license expires.
Mathematica 10.0.0 has been released, and it is available as a free download to faculty, staff, and students. There are separate student and professional versions.
Anyone with a Wolfram account that downloaded Mathematica 9 should have automatically received a new key and notification that the new version is available for download through the portal. If you have any problems accessing the new version from the links in the automated e-mails, please try visiting the OIT site and accessing the software that way.
The OIT Labs’ license server has not been updated to include version 10 at this time.
The newest version of ChemBioDraw Ultra is now available, and is available as a free download for all Duke faculty, staff, and students. The software is funded jointly by OIT and the Chemistry department.
