OIT Software Licensing has the installation files for some software packages available on a server for network installation. With this, all you need to do is map a drive to our server and you can install software without needing to download anything. This can save a great deal of time for extremely large software packages like SAS and LabVIEW in terms of just not having to burn multiple installation DVDs as well as being able to connect to the server and install on multiple computers at once.
If there is any software you would like to see made available for network installation, or if you would like instructions and information, send us an e-mail. We currently offer installation files on the network for SAS, LabVIEW, and SPSS, and we have room for more. For non-free software, you will still need to purchase a license for each computer on which you install the software.
