The VMWare Academic Program is a free program which allows no-cost access to evaluation licenses for academic instruction and research use. VMware has partnered with e-academy to offer the following products under the VMware academic program:
Faculty/Staff: The academic program allows university faculty & staff free access to renewable 1-year evaluation licenses of the above products for academic instruction and research use only.

VMware software can be purchased at a discount from the Duke Computer Store for use in the IT department or other infrastructure departments, as well as in organizations directly related to the university (e.g. the health system).
