Dr. Sujeetha Rajakumar, Ph.D., joined the Sipkins Lab as a Postdoctoral Associate in November 2021. She received her undergraduate degree in India and pursued her master’s degree in Molecular Genetics from University of Leicester, UK, and a second master’s degree in Biochemistry and Medical Genetics from University of Manitoba, Canada. She then completed her Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics at University of Toronto, Canada, where she investigated the molecular mechanisms of bone destruction and central nervous invasion in B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). In her current postdoctoral work, she studies the role of PI3K signaling in B-ALL systemic and central nervous system disease progression using preclinical mouse models and primary patient samples.
