9:30 – 11:30 A.M. – Duke Sports Medicine Physical Therapy’s Running Clinic Educational Topics will include:

  • Observation of running mechanics and common deviations
  • Finding the right shoe
  • Common running injuries – Lecture
  • Treatment/Prevention exercises for common injuries – Interactive

1:00 – 2:00 P.M. – Physical Therapy for Dancers with Rosie Canizares

FREE workshop! Register online or when you get to class.
In this workshop, dancers will learn how physical therapy can help you dance without pain. Dance medicine physical therapist Rosie Canizares will take participants through a mock evaluation to demonstrate common muscles weaknesses that dancers have and can be addressed to prevent injury. Learn simple exercises that can help make you a stronger dancer with better technique
