Check out their website (http://www.nctrcriders.org) for more information, but here’s a little blurb:

NCTRC exists to empower children and adults with physical, emotional, mental and social
challenges to create active, healthier, and more fulfilling lives through equine-assisted
activities and therapies (EAAT).

For those who are interested in assisting with riding classes, we offer volunteer
orientations before the start of each of 6-10 week session. Lesson volunteers work
directly with our riders and horses in class. Responsibilities include:
* helping in the arena as horse leaders and sidewalkers
* providing horse care, and
* doing barn chores.

Volunteer with Children this Summer

If you’ll be in the area this summer and are looking for something to do that’s a very small time commitment, consider volunteering at Abilitations. Abilitations is a Children’s Therapy and Wellness Center in Raleigh, and they do some really cool things with kids. Check out their website:  http://www.actwc.com/index.html.

They are looking for volunteers to help out with their summer musical. The dates are June 11-July 16th on Fridays only from 12:30-1:30. If you’re interested, email T.R. Goins- her email is on the website.
