NC Therapeutic Riding Center

Check out their website (http://www.nctrcriders.org) for more information, but here’s a little blurb:

NCTRC exists to empower children and adults with physical, emotional, mental and social
challenges to create active, healthier, and more fulfilling lives through equine-assisted
activities and therapies (EAAT).

For those who are interested in assisting with riding classes, we offer volunteer
orientations before the start of each of 6-10 week session. Lesson volunteers work
directly with our riders and horses in class. Responsibilities include:
* helping in the arena as horse leaders and sidewalkers
* providing horse care, and
* doing barn chores.
