The DukeCard is your student ID card. This will allow you to academic buildings, as well as access to the gym and sporting events. There is also an option to use your card as a flexible spending account, which will allow you to purchase food on campus free of tax. We will provide you what is called a “PROX” card so that you can get appropriate access to academic buildings. PROX cards have an extra security chip in them. The Department will work with you to secure your DukeCards.
