PARTNeR is a group of neuroscience and psychology postdocs and psychiatry residents who recognize the importance of bridging the gap between basic science research and the clinic. As basic science researchers often have little or no interaction with the patient population, and residents are often unable to keep up with the latest research, we provide a forum for postdocs and residents to interact and learn from one another. We meet approximately monthly. Meetings typically consist of a resident and postdoc pairing up to discuss a mutual area of interest, each bringing to bear their experience and perspective on the topic (e.g., addiction, mindfulness, depression). We also have guest speakers to talk about translational science and/or career development.
