Performing Nursing Research and implementing evidence-based practice to promote quality patient care and a positive care environment is a strategic priority for all entities of Duke University Health System. Under the direction of Nurse Scientist Deborah “Hutch” Allen Ph.D., RN, the Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Program supports nurses and multidisciplinary clinicians in developing, executing, and disseminating knowledge to advance nursing practice and patient care. This goal aligns with the Duke University Health System Nursing Professional Practice model concepts of Caring and Innovation.
