Dr. Beverly Gray: I would hope that by having a lot of these conversations that we move away from talking points, and less polarized discussion, and more towards the realities of what people face. I think if it could be a less political issue– I know that’s pie in the sky, probably not going to happen– but I think when people are coming to see us for care, we don’t talk about politics. That’s not what we talk about. We talk about what’s important for their lives and why this care matters to them. I’m hopeful that at least it opens the doors to have more conversations about that. I think people are resourceful and it doesn’t matter what the bans look like. People are still going to find a way to get care if they need it.
