Anonymous M.D.: We’re talking about maternity care deserts and providers that take care of pregnancies, I think the same exists with regards to family planning and reproductive services. Having trained elsewhere, and then coming to an institution where there weren’t any family planning trained providers. There’s not a family planning fellowship, you can definitely tell the difference in the level of training that residents and fellows are provided during their time. You can tell a difference in the rapidity with which new guidelines are, people are made aware of (these guidelines), and policies and protocols or changes to align with the new guidelines, just because there has not been a dedicated family planning provider for a very long time here. I think in an ideal world, you have that subspecialist that has training in providing these very important services, and that be accessible to everyone. And so same as eliminating maternity care deserts, I think you have to eliminate all of these areas where there is no trained provider and/or the state has restrictions to what that provider can offer.
