Dr. Sarah Prager: I definitely have older colleagues who, during the [19]90s, et cetera, wore their bulletproof vests, et cetera, and never thought that I had to do that. I definitely started out not doing any media and then not using my name but giving quotations and then using my name but no pictures and now, I actually don’t try that. I think I have become enough of an online or public presence around this that I no longer feel like it’s relevant to block who I am, but I never thought about that until recently, and I was actually with two of my older mentors, including Deb Oyer, who is the one who really inspired me to go into this, and I was asking them, I was like “Do you both know where your bulletproof vests are?” and they could both tell me exactly where their bulletproof vests were, and that was the first time I was like “Oh, do I need one of those?” and I don’t, at this point, feel unsafe… but definitely the amount of protestors has increased, and the security of being in an access state feels less secure.
