The US Supreme Court handed down the Dobbs decision overturning Roe on June 24, 2022. Since that time, reproductive health care providers who work in states with restrictions and bans cannot provide the full range of evidence-based reproductive health care. As a result, providers find that they cannot provide the standard of evidence-based medical care that is available in access states. Medical education is suffering dramatically, negatively impacting health care in these states for decades to come. Providers find themselves in an impossible situation balancing the care they trained their entire lives to give and the care they are allowed to legally provide.
