Dr. Hogan: So are there persistent things that you see coming across your practice, or people have ideas in their heads and you’re like, “Actually, that’s a myth.”
Dr. Amy Caldwell: Yeah, the biggest one I think is patients who are terminating abortions for lethal fetal conditions thinking that what they’re getting is not abortion care, and that they’re not having an abortion. That this is different. […] I think people have a certain, I don’t know, perhaps expectation that abortion care is done by bad people in dark, dingy places, and that they’re not professionals, they’re not experts. And then they come to us and they’re treated with kindness and dignity and respect, and they’re surprised and very grateful.
