Dr. Jonas Swartz: One in four people have an abortion before they’re in menopause, and at least half of the electorate is women. How is it not possible to mobilize adequate support for abortion? I think it’s just not relevant to people all the time. Even if you hear this story that is very compelling, I’m not sure that then when you do, whatever, that would support abortion rights– vote, or donate to a candidate, or not vote. I’m not sure that it feels salient for you, but then when you need the care it needs to be there.
