Fifth Year Ph.D. Candidate (2020 - Present)

Yin Mei (Yin) is exploring the design and fabrication of degradable polymeric scaffolding systems for the repair of nerve transection injuries. She is a concurrent Master of Engineering Management student at Duke. Yin obtained a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a specialization in Computing from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2020. In her free time, she serves on the Duke Chemistry Council as a part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DivInc). Yin also enjoys drawing and painting, aerial acrobatics, and hiking! She has a dog, Porky the Yorkie, who she adopted after fostering, and a growing collection of nameless betta/goldfish.
