I was on cross cover at night and the floor staff had a difficult time placing a foley for a patient retaining urine. I called down to charge nurse Jess in the ED and she came to the rescue! She found time to escape her busy ED hustle and bustle to still help colleagues and patients out on the medical floors. She went above and beyond what was expected of her – the nocturnist hospital medicine team appreciates her willingness to help not just her own ED staff but all team members in the hospital!
