Mary Caudill has been the Division Administrator for the Division of Geriatrics for many years, always handling my financial issues/matters. I am supported by a grant for a research project with colleagues from another university, and funding was three months behind for work that had already been done at Duke. Mary, the finance person and I had a Zoom call, and Mary suggested that she could write an email that she thought would move the situation forward. The email was prepared and sent, and within 36 hours my colleagues had agreed to send the needed funds. This would not have happened without her skillful email.
