Welcome to the Ivy Plus Access Services Symposium, hosted in 2018 by Duke University Libraries.
About the Symposium
The Ivy Plus Access Services Symposium provides an opportunity for access services practitioners from among the larger research libraries to share experiences, insights, and best practices with each other.
Date: May 17-18, 2018
Hosted by: Duke University Libraries
Each Year the Objectives of the Symposium are to:
- Exchange information about what our institutions are currently doing or planning for the near term
- Explore challenges and opportunities facing Access Services
- Discuss solutions that may be applicable to other institutions
2018 Symposium Highlights:
The 2018 Symposium will include keynote speaker Sebastian Hammer, president and co-founder of IndexData, on ‘Positioning Library Platforms to meet Emerging Needs’.
Concurrent sessions will be focused on two separate tracks:
- exploring how we create and use data for decision making and describing our value
- examining how we can best work with and support our student staff
