DIRECTOR’S NOTES: 

For Ash: Seeking an actor who can portray a character with a shy and awkward demeanor.

For Meredith, Kevin, Jeremy, Susan, Ivy, Carl, Sophia, Gregory, Quinn: Seeking actors who are outgoing, active, and comfortable with performing sexually implied content.

In the audition process, actors are encouraged to bring authenticity and sensitivity to their portrayals, recognizing the importance of accurately representing the diverse perspectives within the LGBTQA+ spectrum.

Actors are not necessarily required to match the gender and sexual orientation of the characters.

Emphasize respect for the LGBTQA+ community and be open to portraying the unique experiences that different identities have within the community.

This project aims to foster understanding, empathy, and inclusivity, and all applicants are expected to approach the material with professionalism and a commitment to respectful storytelling.

The Silent Serenade | Narrative Short Film

Duke Chinese Dance | Narrative Music Video

Duke Chinese Dance is the largest student dance troupe focused on celebrating the rich Chinese culture through contemporary and traditional dance. We are looking for a director to help us create a music video featuring original Chinese dance choreography that tells the coming-of-age story that many Asian Americans can relate to. The storytelling part of the project will explore the lived experiences of Asian Americans as they navigate growing up in the United States and reconnecting to their familial heritage. Our goal is to produce a high-production music video to not only showcase the beauty of Chinese dance but also to resonate with and more importantly to empower our audience through the magic of storytelling.
