Foxx Hart, Class of 2024: Using Big Data to Address Issues in Health Care

Foxx HartFoxx Hart is junior majoring in Global Cultural Studies and minoring in Statistics.  Their group won 1st prize in their Intermediate Statistics Class Project for a team project on: “Opioid Relapse Prevention: A Survival Analysis Comparing Two Treatments Adjusting for Covariates” in the USPROC (sponsored by the American Statistical Association and the Consortium for Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education).

Foxx was also involved with the Big Data/Reproductive Health Bass Connections team, which produced a poster on “Big Data for Reproductive Health: Using Natural Language Processing Techniques to examine Stigma with Cervical Cancer in Kenya” at the year end Bass Connections team poster presentation.  They are now working with another Bass Connections team on “Developing Nursing Resources for LGBTQ+ Older Adult Care Using Human-Centered Design.”
