Growing up in Hanoi, Vietnam, Ha is particularly interested in alternative education models that employ free play and arts to reduce the stress from strict curriculum requirements. This interest stems from her teaching experiences with migrants and orphans in Hanoi before coming to Duke, and with elementary school children in Durham and Charlotte, NC.

Son of immigrants from Bangladesh. Grew up in suburban, but diverse, Roswell, Georgia. Interested in education innovation, the potential of using biology to fuel new ideas, and poverty studies. He is a huge football fan, and an even bigger basketball one. His goal at Duke is to get more involved in research and create change within the communities near him.
