Melinda Gates to speak at Commencement 2013

Melinda Gates, Trinity ’86 and Fuqua ’87, co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, will be Duke University’s 2013 Commencement Speaker.  The Gates’ helped launch the University Scholars Program in 1998 with a generous gift of $20 million, the first of many extraordinary gifts that the Gates’ have provided to Duke to help support a range of endeavors, from expanding financial aid, to supporting DukeEngage, to advancing research in the sciences, and to promoting interdisciplinarity.
