A unique immersion at Ann and Jim Goodnight Museum Park  with guided tours by NCMA staff. The event is divided into two parts:

  1. An examination of the physical space through an environmental focus, particularly discussing the environmentally sustainable landscape. Led by NCMA staff.
  2. Visits with three pieces within Museum Park. Led by Sabrina Hurtado, participants will engage in a unique way with the pieces and the space through hands on activities and guiding questions.

Itinerary

1:30 PM depart from Duke (Grainger Hall)

2:00 PM arrive at NCMA for tour

4:00 PM depart from NCMA

4:30 PM arrive back at Grainger Hall

Sabrina Hurtado is the Manager of Teen and College Programs at the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA). They design inclusive and immersive college events to engage students with the Museum Park and galleries. They have experience creating conversational self-guided tours to look at art in a reflective, and in-depth way using “slow art” practices. Sabrina graduated from NC State University in 2022 and got their Bachelor of Arts in Arts Studies with a Visual Arts concentration and a Minor in Arts Entrepreneurship. Additionally, they are part of the Friends of Arts NC State Advisory Board and co-run the College Advisory Panel at the NCMA.
