The AWM mentoring program involves meeting in a small group of undergraduates, graduates, postdocs, and/or faculty throughout the school year to discuss math classes, share math-related advice, and/or discuss topics of diversity and inclusion in the Duke math community. The goal of the program is to help build community and support among women and underrepresented students or faculty in the department, and is open to everyone regardless of gender identity or expression. Participants will be paired with current Duke students who are AWM members and eager to assist with any questions they may have—from course registration and understanding the math major to navigating the transition into college life.
