I am extremely grateful for the Brodhead community of allowing me to have a second year influencing the people in my hometown community. Although I have names sprinkled throughout this website, I would like to give my warmest thank you to Dr. Rob Kahn, for accepting me up front for this summer fellowship. Even the days where I was out of the school clinic, in the administrative office and things seemed isolated, I truly loved my time with each person I met at the Health Center.
I also owe deep gratitude to Dr. Lisa Crosby, who taught me what it means to serve children in schools with grace and persistence, and to Dr. Andrew Beck, whose mentorship pushed me to think bigger about systems change while never losing sight of the child in front of me. To the school resource coordinators and nurses at Rockdale and South Avondale, who welcomed me into their busy days and trusted me to build something useful while being a helping hand. Most of all, I am grateful to the families and children of Cincinnati Public Schools who gave me a chance to be of support for their new school-year!
