Faculty Registration

This event will help match DCI faculty that have grants eligible for a diversity supplement with eligible trainees.

DCI’s CRTEC Office will host a matching event on November 21, 2024, from 9am to noon. This event provides Duke faculty engaged in cancer-related research with an opportunity to have short, 10-minute conversations with trainees who are interested in research and qualify for funding through the NIH Diversity Supplement mechanism. Typically, NIH Diversity Supplements provide salary support for the trainee to work in your lab for 1-2 years.

Faculty eligibility:

  • Serve as the PI or Co-PI of an active NIH grant, typically with 2 or more years remaining, that is eligible to support a diversity supplement. See the NIH Parent Announcement for a listing of participating NIH Institutes and the grant types that qualify for supplements (e.g., R01, R21, UM1).
  • Must be engaged in cancer-related research at Duke.
  • Complete the Application form no later than 11:59 PM, Eastern Daylight Time on October 14, 2024.
