Joanne Tuohy, DVM

Joanne Tuohy is currently a PhD student in Immunology at North Carolina State University. She completed her DVM education at Colorado State University, and moved to North Carolina State University for a rotating internship and residency in small animal surgery. Her primary research focus is treating metastatic disease in osteosarcoma. Joanne has been involved in osteosarcoma research since she was a student at Colorado State University – one of her projects involved evaluation of the efficacy of stereotactic radiotherapy for appendicular osteosarcoma in dogs. Her PhD focuses on the mechanisms by which infection inhibits metastatic disease in osteosarcoma.
