Hailing from the Capitol, Victoria Priester, a cherry tomato-loving writer takes on the Duke campus scene with her radiant smile and her unrelenting determination. Already a member of Duke’s premier newspaper, the Chronicle, and part of the Lemur Center’s veterinary department, she plans to pursue veterinary school as well as an English major thanks to her love for animal encyclopedias and the intricacies of English prose. Aside from studies, she loves to bake, using her secret signature recipe to make a delectable red velvet cake, and eat cherry tomatoes, so much that once she developed a rash from overconsumption. She has traveled to Costa Rica and Spain, enjoyed club sailing and playing field hockey, and appreciated the beautiful music by Frank Ocean, SZA, and Alicia Keys. Experiences, facts, and skillz, she has it all.
