Hello, and welcome to my bio! My name is Jen Semler and I’m from Chappaqua, New York. I am in fact a junior, although upon seeing me you will probably assume I’m a freshman (best case scenario), a p-frosh, or someone’s younger middle-school-aged sister. I can assure you that what I lack in size I make up for in sarcasm, a love of soup, and an obsession with Iceland. I will probably pursue a double major in public policy and philosophy with a minor in economics despite the fact that I have no idea what I want to do with my life. At Duke, I am an editor on The Rival, the best online news/opinion/satire publication around! I enjoy coffee, Good Will Hunting, Of Monsters and Men, anything by Kurt Vonnegut, and Birkenstocks. To end with a fun fact, I own two five-foot tall teddy bears—neither has a name, so I’m open to suggestions!
