Received her Ph.D from Hannover Medical School, Germany and started postdoctoral position in our lab in April 2020. Sheetal’s work focus on the tRNA modification enzyme, Cdkal1 and trying to elucidate the biochemistry between Cdkal1 and Type II Diabetes. We are currently investigating whether the presence of SNPs affect the pre-mRNA processing events like splicing of Cdkal1 that may affect its functionality leading to the development of Type II Diabetes. Sheetal looks forward for an independent career in the exciting field of RNA therapeutics. Apart from research, she likes crocheting, baking and travelling with her family.
