It was when I started writing the title that I noticed how fast time has passed and how little time I have left with the program and my lab this summer. There is some ambivalence, some bittersweet, some comfort that the rest I deserve is coming and some melancholy that it is all ending, the journey…
Six weeks have passed by and though I know that I have learnt many things from my mentors, from the science and from the worms, I feel like there are still so much to learn, to do and to work on. Out of my two research goals, I am only halfway through my first one. The routine has caught on with me, sometimes I felt so frustrated and worn out to repeat the same procedures. But times when I found out any result, I felt it was all worth it. Sometimes I just don’t know, I don’t know how I am truly feeling anymore. Nevertheless, I’ll do the best I can to get the best out of this experience. I can and I will.
