But wait! There’s more! …Isn’t there?

Sadly, the adventure of discovery for scientific treasure has turned to the stages of monotonous digging. It strikes me that research, like any activity, is something that you grow accustomed to. Well, the experimental benchwork part at least. I kept telling myself not to expect anything coming in and that’s worked, but I expected more as far as results come. This is in no way the fault of our lab or its people, they are fine researchers. It is, I fear, the point at which we have heard so much about. You work so hard, isolating variables, decrypting your results, comparing them to what is known already and what you’ve deduced to this point, surrounded by the uncertainty of it all, just to end up with results that don’t disprove the original hypothesis, but don’t support it either.

But there’s hope, me and Ian are starting to work with RNA to see what that gives us. Hopefully something more worthwhile.
