Youth Leadership Program

INTRODUCTION

The Global Health Youth Leadership Program (GHYLP) is an initiative organized by the Young Leaders in Global Health Club, designed for students to learn, develop, and implement essential skills in the fields beyond global health in a welcoming and collaborative environment. The program offers unique learning opportunities in the form of seminars, workshops, and a case competition.

MISSION STATEMENT

About Us

Found in 2019, Young Leaders in Global Health Club (YLGHC) is a student-led organization consisting primarily of undergraduate students at Duke Kunshan University. The YLGHC aspires to nurture future leaders in the field of public and global health by providing unique opportunities for students to contribute directly to the field of health.

These opportunities are often in the form of project collaborations between faculty and students or through community service projects organized in tandem with local organizations. Through these experiences, the YLGHC aims to prepare students for future careers in health-related fields, while also making a difference in the community.

Program Objectives

Objective 1

To promote global health education and research in the form of seminars and problem-solving competitions, which foster critical thinking skills, analyzing skills, and creativity of participants.

Objective 2

To encourage collaboration amongst participants from different fields backgrounds and interests through interdisciplinary learning experiences.

Objective 3

To establish a cooperative network between the YLGHC, the Student Clubs and Organization, the Global Health Research Center, the Student Affair Office, and other partners.
