What will the day look like?

The Triangle Undergraduate Literary Conference (TULC) will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Duke University. Check-in will happen between 8:30AM - 9:45AM in Allen Building 314. Two sessions of student presentations will occur in Rubenstein 153 (Holsti-Family Assembly Room) before lunch; after lunch, students will return to Holsti-Anderson and participate in a writing workshop led by Frances Leviston, followed by one more session of student presentations. The conference will conclude around 5:30 and students will have the opportunity to mingle during a dinner in the Bolton Family Tower Room in the Broadhead Center. The events of the day should conclude around 7:30PM.

Will food be provided?

Yes! We welcome all conference attendees to join us for coffee and a light breakfast during the check-in time. Additionally, lunch will be provided during the break. Due to space constraints, the dinner will only be open to presenters.

Will transportation be provided?

While we cannot provide transportation to Duke, all presenters will be guaranteed free parking passes. Additionally, the Robertson Bus provides free transportation between UNC Chapel Hill and Duke. The GoDurham bus system goes between North Carolina Central University and Duke. The GoTriangle bus system connects NC State University and Duke. Please refer to each bus schedule to plan your arrival.

Who can participate?

We are accepting proposals from undergraduate students only. Graduate students, faculty, and community members, however, are welcome to attend our panels and lectures.

Is there a cost to attend?

No! It is free to attend and to present.
