Sanford School of Public Policy
- Master of Public Policy, Technology Policy Concentration
- Sanford’s focus on technology policy prepares students to address issues of government support for innovation and actions to mitigate the negative impacts that technology can make on individuals’ lives.
- Cyber Policy Program
- The Cyber Policy Program applies the Sanford School’s expertise and tradition of public service to the many new ways that governments use technology and promotes the preservation of fundamental civil liberties, particularly for underserved communities and historically disenfranchised groups. The Cyber Policy Program also focuses on governments’ roles as regulator and overseer of cybersecurity in critical infrastructure and the private sector.
Science & Society
- Master of Arts in Bioethics & Science Policy (Tech Ethics and Policy Concentration)
- The Duke Master of Arts in Bioethics & Science Policy program teaches students how to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to myriad complex issues at the intersection of science, technology, ethics, and policy. The program offers two concentrations in Biosciences and Technology.
- Master’s students exploring tech ethics and policy will explore the ethical dilemmas resulting from these changes and the policymaking methods to translate those discussions into actionable policy recommendations.
Trinity College of Arts and Sciences
- Graduate Certificate in Information Science and Studies
- The purpose of the ISS Graduate Certificate is to offer an interdisciplinary program at the graduate level that focuses on the study and creation of new information technologies and the analysis of their impact on art, culture, science, medicine, commerce, society, policy, and the environment. The program is designed for master’s and doctoral students wishing to complement their primary disciplinary focus with an interdisciplinary certificate in Information Science + Studies.
PhD and Master’s Program in Computational Media, Arts & Cultures
- The CMAC PhD program — small, experimental, and interdisciplinary — focuses on the intersection of media arts and humanities, sciences, and technology, both in theory and in practice, a commitment that carries through all our activities.
The MA in Digital Art History/Computational Media is designed for graduate students focused on the study, creation, and use of digital media and computation in the arts and humanities.
