The Tatar Youth Scholarship was created to support Tatar youth residing in North America in their path to educate themselves and the community about their Tatar roots. The funds for the scholarships are fueled from the Summit’s attendance fee and the private individuals’ donations. Ramilya Saubanova, Farida Ibrahim, Suumbike Shaimardanova, Rinat Nailev, Yasmin Shamiloglu are the winners of the Inaugural Tatar Youth Scholarship. These incredible Tatars – residents of North America – came up with the project ideas, implementation of which can enrich individual and societal awareness of Tatar’s rich culture and contribute to the vibrancy of American cultural landscape. North American Tatar Summit commissioned the development of multi-proficiency course for the learners of Tatar language and Tatar Literature to Gulnaz Deniz, an expert of Tatar literature, an experienced educator and a poet. The participants of the Tatar Summit as well as anyone who is eager to explore Tatar writers of 20th and 21st centuries are invited to utilize the course and enrich the knowledge of beautiful Tatar literature.
2024 Summer Tatar Youth Immersion Educational Program designed by the Tatar educators of Alima Academy received financial assistance to outsource the teaching expenses. We are happy to report the heart-warming outcome: “Tatar Alan” has taken pace this summer (July 26-August 4, 2024) in the picturesque nature habitat near Laurintine mountains, Quebec, Canada, where all ages immersed in 10 days learning programming that embraced all-level Tatar speakers/learners and delivered unforgettable experience of appreciation of Tatar heritage and community.
