Scores are continuous and reported as T-scores where the mean is 50 and the standard deviation (SD) is 10. Therefore, a person with a T-score of 60 is one SD above the mean. The mean represents the average mood score of the patient sample used for the measure development. The T-score is provided with an error term (Standard Error of Measurement or SEM). The SEM is a statistical measure of variance and represents the “margin of error” for the T-score.
